Professor Stephen Goode is an NHS Consultant Vascular and Interventional Radiologist with more than 20 years’ clinical experience in vascular disease and minimally invasive treatment. He holds a PhD in Vascular Surgery and is an Honorary Professor at Sheffield Hallam University.

Is the duplex ultrasound included?
Yes. Your duplex ultrasound assessment is included within the £195 consultation fee, with no separate scan charge.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. Self-referrals are welcome and you do not need a GP referral to make an enquiry.
What treatments are available?
Treatments include endovenous laser treatment, ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy and other minimally invasive options. The most appropriate treatment depends on your symptoms, ultrasound findings and individual circumstances.
How much does the consultation cost?
A specialist consultation including duplex ultrasound costs £195. Any recommended treatment and its cost will be discussed clearly before you decide whether to proceed.
How quickly can I return to normal activities?
Walking is usually encouraged immediately after minimally invasive vein treatment. Many patients return to normal activities quickly, although recovery advice depends on the treatment performed, your occupation and your individual circumstances.
