Do I need a GP referral?

No. You can self-refer directly to Sheffield Vein Clinic. Simply send an enquiry using the form, call us, or message us on WhatsApp — no GP letter is required.

What happens at the initial consultation?

Your 45-minute appointment with Prof Goode includes a full clinical history, physical examination, and duplex ultrasound scan. You will receive a verbal explanation of your diagnosis and a written treatment plan, all at the same appointment.

How soon can I be seen?

We aim to offer appointments within 1–2 weeks of your enquiry, subject to availability. Please contact us for current waiting times.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Please wear or bring loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to your legs. Avoid applying creams or moisturiser to your legs on the day of your appointment.

Will I know the treatment cost at the first appointment?

Yes. Prof Goode will confirm the recommended treatment approach and exact cost at your initial appointment, before you agree to anything. There is no obligation to proceed.

Where is the clinic and is there parking?

Sheffield Vein Clinic is at 772–774 Ecclesall Road, Sheffield, S11 8TB — approximately 1.5 miles south-west of the city centre. On-street parking is available on Ecclesall Road and nearby side streets. The clinic is also accessible by bus from the city centre.
